Alma-nac were approached to comprehensively renovate and reconfigure a five storey, grade II listed townhouse in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Working closely with the local authority and contractor alike, Alma-nac successfully managed the intricate planning process to gain listed building approval for the proposed works, delivered to impeccably high standards.

The project involved the sensitive yet whole scale refurbishment an 1850s townhouse to ensure that the property was fit to be a modern family home. Alma-nac worked to transform the property; reinstating original features, rebuilding damaged floors and walls and enlarging non-original openings to create a more open plan, light filled family home.

Key to the remodeling was the creation of bespoke joinery, helping to define rooms within the house without countering the strict planning policy. Bespoke joinery was used as part of a well defined material palette ensuring that a strong design was achieved throughout the 5 storey home, in keeping with the client's brief and the building's heritage alike.
